Teal is a cyan-green color. Its name comes from that of a bird—the Eurasian teal (Anas crecca)—which presents a similarly colored stripe on its head. The word is often used colloquially to refer to shades of cyan in general.
It can be created by mixing cyan into a green base, or deepened as needed with black or gray. The complementary color of teal is maroon.
It’s not a surprise this backdated 1975 Porsche 911S has been customized using this winning but unusual color scheme.
Houndstooth inserts along with a mix of dark tan and teal, the latter of which matches the exterior. Subtle it is not. More of the same trimmings can be found under the trunk lid, right next to the fuel cell.
