We’ve been invited back to the Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo this year, and it feels like stepping onto familiar ground. We were here last year, but wow, what a transformation. The event has evolved into something even more engaging, polished, and immersive. This is where innovation truly thrives, and here in Kaohsiung, it feels like we’re right at home.
There’s something about Taiwan that sparks my imagination, particularly the blend of cutting-edge technology with its maritime legacy. The hidden pirate coves, the lantern-lit harbors, and the soft glow of lights stretching along the Asian coastline—it’s a world where ancient traditions and modern innovation collide in the most spectacular way. It’s not just a place—it’s a living, breathing mix of history and future, mystery and possibility.
While we were in Taiwan, we also took the opportunity to meet with potential business partners in Taipei, carving out a few days for additional meetings and discussions.
After a long day of strategic talks, there’s nothing quite like finding a quiet temple to unwind. The cool air, the half-lit moon hanging in the dark sky—it’s as if time slows down. You move through the temple grounds, the sounds of traditional Chinese music and drifting incense filling the air. In those moments of stillness, it’s more than just peace; it’s a reminder of who you are, a chance to reconnect and recharge.
One thing I love about Asia is how easily the fast-paced world of business blends with nature. One minute, you’re stepping out of a sleek, glass tower, and the next, a centuries-old temple stands at your side, with a lush tropical park just steps away. It’s easy to hit the reset button here, recharging between meetings, allowing you to stay sharp, refreshed, and ready to tackle the next challenge.
And of course, no visit to Taiwan is complete without indulging in its food. Taiwan’s culinary landscape is a story in itself, a tapestry of flavors that tell the tale of its rich cultural heritage. There’s something magical about sharing these meals with old friends and new. From bustling night markets to cozy local spots, discovering hidden culinary gems with the locals is always an unforgettable experience.
